Сompletion of the preliminary round

The preliminary round of the V Moscow International David Oistrakh Violin Competition is completed.

Organizing committee received 125 applications from 29 countries: Russia, Japan, South Korea, USA, China, France, Belgium, Spain, Austria, Poland, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Germany, Canada, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, the Philippines, Australia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Georgia, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Malaysia, Norway, Portugal, Azerbaijan

In connection with such a record number of applications received in the preliminary round of the Competition 62 participants have passed to the 1st round.

in the Senior category – 40 participants

in the Junior category – 22 participants

As jury members of the preliminary round were invited young violinists, laureates of the Moscow International David Oistrakh Violin Competition of previous years:
